If you’re looking for a single unit that has full GPS/Sonar/Mapping functionality, then look no further than the Eagle Fishelite 480. You’ll be impressed with the 16 level grayscale monitor with a full 5 inches of viewable real estate. The 480×480 pixels of resolution and backlit LED makes for an impressive presentation. And the screen is viewable from nearly every angle with the included SuperTwist mount.
The 200 kHz Skimmer transducer emanates a wide 60 degree scanning arc that provides an ample viewing circumference around the boat even at speeds of up to 70 mph when used in tandem with the Hyperscroll feature. 1500 watts of power provides the sounder with the ability to penetrate to water depths of up to 800 feet. On board processing functions help anglers to clearly identify pertinent information from the findings. Fish I.D. labels fish targets with graphical icons, FishReveal does what it implies by revealing targets that are obscured by underwater structures, and FishTrack tells the user exactly how far beneath the water surface each fish target is located.
The addition of the internally installed 12 channel WAAS GPS antenna makes this machine a truly stand alone and all inclusive product. The GPS is extremely precise providing locational information that is accurate to within 10 feet. Both pre-installed and optional upgrade maps are provided to work off of this navigational functionality. The Eagle backround map is included and presents enhanced detail of the continental U.S. In addition, and entire line of additional maps from Navionics and Lakemaster Pro can be loaded onto the unit via the built in MMC/SD card reader. There is even software available that allows users to create their own customized maps for use with the 480. Plus, these upgrades provide a wealth of additional information such as 700,000 points of interest such as marinas and restaurants, emergency services, landmark photos, and more. Eagle has created a genuine all-purpose fish-finding device for the masses.
